Intelligence Ain’t That Bad

This blog was written by my daugther, Sasha. I hope you enjoy. 💓

I talked with my friend today on discord, and the subject of maturity and intelligence came up. My friend argued that your age doesn't define anything; you only get one life, one body, and little time and that you should live your life while you can. I put my input into it by agreeing that you only get one body, one life, and little time, but disagreeing that and age does define things; if it didn't, this world would be a train wreck. If you want to live your life, you shouldn't try to mature. I feel like maturity comes from experience, things you learn on the internet, and simple common sense. After we had the whole convo and I looked over it, it makes me think about myself. I'm a young kid who still is trying to find out my place in this world. I'm already thinking about my sexuality and religion, but I'm only 12. I'm maturing fast, and it isn't a bad thing, but I want to stay a kid while it lasts. I'm already two blinks and a shoe clack away from turning 13, and I already have a mentality of a teenager.

Apart from the cons, I'm glad that kids of this generation are more mature and innovative. Most people, especially adults, underestimate our intelligence and act as if we are little toddlers sometimes. It's good to be mature and intelligent; you can trick people with it and shock them. I've done it before, and the face they made was immaculate. Just don't go too far with it though, you'll seem like a rude smart butt. Being smart is good; don't make everyone look like they're dumb. Especially if you say something wrong and they correct you and clown you… you're down bad. You should help others understand what you mean when you're wrong or need to understand you better. I promise when you do it, you'll feel good.

In conclusion, I have the brain of a teenager, and that isn't bad. I like how I'm mature and confuse others with the wording I use or the tone I speak with. Kids like me shouldn't be ashamed of their intelligence. If you can confuse grown adults with the language you use, you're good, but that doesn't mean making them look stupid. You're still a kid; your still learning things. They are adults; they are still learning things, but they know a lot more than you think. Adults are intelligent, although they can be confusing with all the questions they ask when you tell them something new you like, but don't feel afraid to tell them new things :D
