Christmas Movies with Janetta, Part 2

Here we go, and delivered Christmas Day! Here is Part 2 of my Christmas movie list. The movies on this list all premiered this holiday season except for The Business of Christmas (2020). These movies can be viewed through BET, VH1, and TV One. So read on, find a movie from the list, stream, and enjoy!

The Business of Christmas

Christmas is usually a busy season for Franklin Toy Store, but it is not. The Franklin family has to pull together a miracle to save their beloved store on the brink of losing everything. I enjoyed watching this movie.

The Business of Christmas 2

The Franklins are at it again, this time in a different manner. The family is going through a bit of drama and needs a little push to get into the holiday spirit. I must say, the sequel is better.

A Christmas Wish

A recently divorced mother is having the worst case of bad luck. She is laid off from her job right before the holidays, and she can’t get along with her ex. A child’s wish for her parents to come together for Christmas sends the two exes along a path that leads them to where they belong. If you’re looking for drama with a happy ending, this movie is for you.

A Jenkins Family Christmas

Trying to get through the first holiday season after losing their father, two sisters attempt to bring the family together to keep his memory alive. Tensions flare when an unexpected visitor arrives. This movie will make you laugh, cry, and even wanna cuss out one of the characters. But overall, it is a perfect movie to watch.

Soul Santa

A con man, played by David Mann, is on the run from his crime boss decides to re-enter the life of the family he left behind. Through a series of twists and turns, this lifelong con man finds ways of doing good with his con artist skills. I have to admit, anything David and Tamala Mann are starring in, I’m there for it.

A Rich Christmas

In this beautifully put-together movie, spoiled daughter Valerie Rich, played by Tyler Abron, is taught a lesson by her father, Marshall Rich (Bill Bellamy). Valerie has big shoes to fill, but she wants everything given to her, unlike her father, who worked hard for everything he owns. Because Valerie doesn’t want to work for what she wants, her father cuts her off. And that is where the adventure begins. I really liked this movie, and I hope you will too.

Miracles Across 125th Street

This. Movie. Right. Here! A rapper, played by Nick Cannon, turns to the drugs he raps about and hits rock bottom. He enters rehab and, after his stay, begins a journey of rediscovery. And what a discovery he makes! This movie is filled with great singing and keeps you in a good mood throughout the film. To any Sister Bernice Jenkins fans: she graces us with her presence.

Adventures in Christmasing

Successful talk show host Parker Baldwin, played by Kim Fields, leaves nothing to chance. She loves to prepare for everything within her career and personal life. A last-minute cancellation of a scheduled guest paves the way for Ms. Baldwin to meet the guest of a lifetime.

Hip Hop Family Christmas

Just imagine Love and Hip-Hop Any City, and you have this movie. The Nixons are hip-hop royalty, but social media rumors threaten to ruin the family’s reputation. The eldest daughter, played by Keri Hilson, decides to help the family restore their public image, but it turns out to cause more harm than good. This all-star cast includes Ne-Yo, MC Lyte, Red Man, Terrence J, and Serayah.

Someday at Christmas

This romantic movie stars Asia’h Epperson as Chance Taylor, an aspiring reporter from Baltimore, Maryland. While waiting on her train to depart DC, all trains are suddenly canceled and rescheduled for the next day. Chance decides to head back to her hotel when she detours to get something to eat. And umm, let’s just say she got more than she expected!

I had a great time looking at these movies and hope that you enjoy them as well. Feliz Navidad and Happy Holidays! Until next Christmas season…
