Love & Marriage: DC “Friends or Foes”

Love and Marriage: DC Season 1 Episode 8

SPOILER ALERT!!! IF YOU HAVE NOT WATCHED THIS EPISODE, LEAVE NOW AND COME BACK WHEN YOU HAVE!

CIAA weekend has arrived! The Silva’s and the Tyler’s arrive at the bar. You already know that Quick couldn’t resist ripping into Jamie about their bet. Jamie kept it light with him, jokingly coming back with a quick rebuttal. Then the Samuels enter the bar. 👀🙄 is all I could do when I saw Monique. My ass started to itch because I knew it would be something with her. When Tasha greeted her, Monique was ready to spill the tea. Even though Tasha let the ladies know that she was caught up concerning the Winter saga, here comes Erana adding her part. She just had to mention that fake-ass argument she had with Winter. Jamie tries to change the subject as Erana goes deeper into her story. Forget that; he made the situation worse! I went from wanting to tell her to shut the fluff up myself to feeling sorry for Erana. Not only did Jamie embarrass her, but he managed to disrespect her with one touch of his hand.

Monique keeps her word and checks in on Winter. Winter and Monique converse regarding the latest drama she is entangled in. Winter tells her side of things and becomes emotional while explaining what she has gone through in her previous relationship. Winter is struggling emotionally with what is going on with her current marriage. Still, she’s also dealing with the thoughts of moving her confidant into the casual friend zone. We can’t blame her for thinking that way. Opening up to someone who is supposed to be your good friend and finding out that person has a leaky faucet as a mouth hurts. Monique becomes emotional seeing Winter cry and admits that she had not seen the emotional struggle Winter was going through. Ummm hmmm.

Jamie and Erana have a guest over. The intuitive healer comes over for a reading. Now, it was nice hearing what the healer had to say, but what got me was that she could read Jamie in the way she did. I want to visit her when I’m in the DC area because she was able to even tell them about them acting fake. That had me falling to the floor! I am glad she called them out on the fakeness, and I’m happy she pushed to get them to open up more candidly. Notice I didn’t say anything about her asking Jamie if he loved his wife. That part doesn’t sit with me well, and I did not want to input my two cents regarding that. No one can say if someone does or does not love another person. It’s hard to tell if someone truly loves the person they’re with or if what they do is all for pretend.

No, the Samuels shows us a different type of workout! Chris and Monique get their freaky workout on at a gym. They decided to teach a class, a very unique and exciting workout class. At the end of the exercise, Chris begins to talk. Monique seems very happy with Chris at the moment. Their conversation had one little bump: Chris asked her not to bash him when she was with her friends. Later, Chris hangs out with the guys again, with one special guest: Kevin.

Kevin comes and is prepared to defend his side of things to the fellas. He pulls out paperwork and explains everything away. By the end of Kevin‘s explanation, the guys seem to be Team Kevin. I have to admit, Kevin looks very persuasive. He was so compelling that Chris invited him to the couple’s detox trip. Before the couples leave for their trip, Monique tells the group that Winter will be arriving with the sex therapist. The mood change was real! The plot thickens! Until the next episode…
