Family History Mystery Update 1

I wanted to do an update on my family history mystery. I decided to leave for a few weeks to discover as much information as possible regarding my great-grandmother’s family. With the online research I have done, I noticed that the one person missing information was my aunt Verela. I found information regarding her being married to my uncle and living with her parents. Beyond that, it’s as if she disappeared. I can’t even find a record of her passing away. And I know she passed away when I was a child.

Another person that crosses my mind is my 2nd great-grandmother. I have my theories of the lineage passed down to the Hortons. However, I have a set of brothers that I am trying to understand. For example, my second great-grandmother had a first cousin whose name was identical. One child’s father was William, and the other was named Peter. Both men went by Hut Horton. I am trying to find out which Caroline married Frank Bradley. And yes, I tried looking at the marriage certificate. The information shows that the marriage was performed at her father’s home and did not designate any alternate name other than Hut Horton.

I am excited about the opportunity to learn. I am happy to discover all the little gems I can. I know I must do more research. I want to ensure I get as close to the truth as possible.
